Delivery & Returns
Company Overview and Scope
This Shipping, Delivery and Returns Policy applies to all goods and services supplied by Cardiff Health Care Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office in CardiƯ, Wales.
The Company operates within the healthcare sector and specialises in the marketing, sales, repair, maintenance, and servicing of medical equipment and healthcare supplies for nursing homes, care homes, and healthcare providers across Wales, with planned expansion throughout the United Kingdom.
The Company conducts sales through multiple channels, including online sales via its official website, direct sales from its shop or showroom, and through marketing, promotional campaigns, or direct outreach to potential customers. This policy governs all transactions, regardless of the sales channel, and sets out terms for shipping, delivery, returns, repairs, and related services.
Manufacture, Importation, and Storage of Goods
Medical equipment and healthcare supplies supplied by the Company are manufactured by approved third-party manufacturers, including manufacturers based in China and the United Kingdom.
All goods manufactured in China are imported into the United Kingdom in full compliance with UK customs requirements, import regulations, and applicable healthcare product legislation. Products are received, inspected, stored, and distributed from the Company’s warehouse facilities in Wales, United Kingdom.
Goods are not ordinarily shipped directly from overseas manufacturers to customers unless expressly agreed in writing.
Order Acceptance and Processing
All orders placed with the Company are subject to acceptance and product availability.
Orders may be placed via the Company’s website, in person at its shop or showroom, through written purchase orders, email, contractual agreement, or other approved marketing or sales channels.
Upon acceptance, the Company will issue an order acknowledgment confirming the order details and estimated delivery timelines. Any delivery timelines provided are indicative only and do not constitute a contractual guarantee.
Delivery Areas and Logistics
The Company currently delivers goods within Wales, with plans to expand delivery services across the United Kingdom.
Delivery is made via reputable third-party logistics providers and is arranged according to the order type and location. While the Company makes every effort to meet estimated delivery times, delays may occur due to factors beyond its reasonable control, including transport disruption, customs or regulatory inspections, supply chain delays, weather conditions, or force majeure events.
The Company shall not be liable for losses arising from such delays.
Delivery Charges and Costs
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be confirmed at the time of order and may vary depending on the nature, size, weight, and destination of the goods, as well as any special handling or delivery requirements.
Additional delivery costs will be agreed with the customer prior to dispatch. For orders placed through the website, delivery charges will be calculated during the checkout process and clearly communicated before payment is completed.
Receipt of Goods and Transfer of Risk
Risk in goods passes to the customer upon delivery to the agreed delivery address.
Customers are responsible for inspecting all goods immediately upon receipt. Any damage, shortages, or discrepancies must be reported to the Company within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.
Customers are advised to retain all original packaging until inspection is complete. Failure to notify the Company within this timeframe may limit or invalidate claims for replacement, repair, or refund.
Returns of Non-Faulty Goods
Returns of non-faulty goods are accepted only with the Company’s prior written authorisation.
Requests for return must be made within fourteen (14) days of delivery. Returned items must be unused, unopened where applicable, in their original packaging, and in a condition suitable for resale.
The Company reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions. Unless otherwise agreed, customers are responsible for the cost of returning non-faulty goods, and an administrative or restocking fee may apply.
Returns are accepted for items purchased via any sales channel, including website, shop or showroom, or through marketing and direct sales.
Faulty, Damaged, or Defective Goods
Where goods are found to be faulty, damaged, or defective, customers must notify the Company as soon as reasonably practicable and, in any event, within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery or discovery of the issue.
Where a fault is confirmed, the Company will determine the appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, or refund, in accordance with applicable UK legislation.
This policy operates in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where applicable, noting that the majority of transactions are business-to-business and may not fall within full consumer protections.
Repair and Maintenance Services
The Company provides repair and maintenance services for medical equipment supplied or serviced by the Company.
Services may be performed at the customer’s premises or at the Company’s approved service facilities, depending on the nature of the equipment and the service agreement. Service timelines are indicative and may vary.
Replacement parts used during repairs may be new or refurbished, subject to availability and prior agreement.
Warranty Provisions
Warranty terms vary depending on the product and manufacturer and are provided at the point of sale or within accompanying documentation.
Warranties do not extend to damage or faults resulting from misuse, neglect, unauthorised repair or modification, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, or normal wear and tear.
Regulatory Compliance
All medical equipment and healthcare supplies supplied by the Company are intended to comply with applicable UK medical device regulations, including requirements overseen by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and relevant British and international standards.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring correct installation, use, inspection, and ongoing compliance with regulatory and professional obligations.
Title, Liability, and Limitation
Title to goods remains with CardiƯ Health Care Limited until full payment has been received in cleared funds.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, business interruption, or reputational damage, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.
